What is Sayra App?
Sayra is an ed-tech platform that connects students and tutors to practice speaking online.
How to withdraw earnings?
Payment will be sent automatically to your bank account once per month after you make a payout request on the app. The payment will usually be sent on the 5th of each month and will cover lessons given during the previous month. Bank fees are covered by a tutor.
What are the requirements for applying?
We generally only accept tutors for teaching their native language. However, if you have a C2 level and a particularly strong application, we may make an exception.
What is the application process?

Do we get teaching materials on Sayra App?
Since Sayra is designed for online speaking practice, it has a built-in list of topics with questions and images that you can use during speaking practice session.
How do the event sessions go?
We have 2 types of event sessions on Sayra (Interview and Speaking). The Interview is a 10-minute video call where a tutor and student get to know each other. After the Interview session, the student has the option to book a Speaking session with the tutor. The Speaking session is a 45 minutes video call where the student actually pays for the session and speaking practice takes place.
What software & hardware do I need?
You only need a smartphone to use the Sayra Tutor app and headphones.
How much can I earn on Sayra?
It depends on your rate, availability, and incoming student flow. If your rate is $15 per Speaking session, you work 8 hours a day and five times a week and get booked for every available time slot - well then, you do the math.
How much is the Sayra commissions?
10% flat. We want you to live a better life, not focus on fees. We only take a small cut of every successful Speaking session.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?
You can cancel Interviews and Speaking sessions without any deductions from your rating for up to 24 hours. If you cancel an event less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, a negative rating will be applied to your overall rating.
